I found an old recipes writing book from many years ago, by Vittorina Vecchioni inside my library and I would share with you. From here the idea of this blog where I will publish some of these recipes. Later I will enrich with advice from our chef and much more.
Sometimes the instructions will be simple and sometimes you will find incomplete recipe, but I want transcribe as the original. Maybe she had an old oven, but I think my Grandma Vittorina was a creative cook… I cannot find baking time, no degrees for cooking. This was how they used it once.
Start with a classic cake:
“Tilde’s apple pie”
- 2 hectograms of flour
- 2 eggs
- sugar 1 hectogram
- baking powder
Put the flour, half sugar, half melted butter and half bag of baking powder in a bowl.
Work well and if the dough is too thick, add a few drops of milk (it must be like a thick mayonnaise).
Put this pasta in a medium-sized pan; cover it with sliced apples, the rest of the sugar and the diced butter.
